Rimlit High Sierras is an original oil painting by award-winning plein air artist Louise Sackett, inspired by time spent camping with family and friends in California’s Sierra Nevada.
Painted near the meadow just beyond the family’s campsite, this piece captures a place Louise describes as feeling a little like heaven. Sunlight catches the rugged Sierra peaks above the meadow, while evergreens and soft grasses fill the valley below. More than a mountain landscape, it’s a painting tied to the memories made in a place returned to again and again.
